About Animals at Home (National Forest) Ltd.
Hello, we are Andy and Claire Kinnard of Animals at Home (National Forest) Limited. Centred in Burton on Trent we cover much of the National Forest area including postcodes DE11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 3; 65 and 23.
We have both received professional animal training at a veterinary practice, which involved first aid, animal handling, hygiene and pet nutrition. We have a fully equipped Animal Ambulance which is DEFRA approved and hold a State Veterinary Service license, are also CRB checked and fully insured.
So, whether it's your prized tropical fish, pet stick insect, adorable rabbit, devoted feline friend or loyal canine companion (or all of them together!), we can help meet the needs of your pets both large and small.
We look forward to meeting and serving the people and animals of the National Forest area, providing a friendly, reliable and comprehensive professional pet care service, giving you the peace of mind you deserve that your pets and homes are in safe hands.
Having previously worked abroad in the oil industry, followed by many years in sales and marketing, my recent redundancy has given me the opportunity to focus on the care of animals and enjoy a more active outdoor life. Previous interests have included Scouting, canoeing, mountain walking and camping. My current passions are family history and our beloved Irish Terrier Enya, who has recently had her first litter of 5 puppies.
Claire is a trained Nursery Nurse and currently works on the deli counter at Tesco in Burton.
As well as our Irish Terrier we have 3 chickens laying what Claire calls 'happy eggs'. To me the eggs just taste wonderful! With eight children, over the years we have also helped look after most small furry pets including rats, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits and guinea pigs. Claire's childhood also included having standard poodles, a small herd of sheep and horses. Her brother currently farms an organic smallholding in Nottinghamshire and we enjoy helping out with the lambing and calving.
We look forward to meeting you and your pets soon.
